As they say, if you educate a girl child you educate two families. IAP, Allahabad went a step ahead and chose Women’s teachers trainee college as venue for ORS awareness camp thereby training a section of society!!
In addition, CMO Allahabad was invited as Chief Guest for the event. He also gave away free samples of ORS for distribution to all needy children. Dr. Vishal Srivastava President IAP, Dr. Ritu Jain, Secretary IAP, Dr. Ritu Gupta, Consultant Pediatrician,Priti Hospital, Dr. Manisha Maurya, Associate Professor of Paediatrics, MLN Medical College, Dr. Archana Srivastava, HOD Department of Paediatrics ,Kamala Nehru Hospital, Dr. P. Murthy President Elect IAP Allahabad 2018 also gave valuable tips on prevention of diarrhoea and use of ORS.
Practical demonstration of how to make ORS as well as an interactive session with students of the college were the highlight of the Programme.
This event was covered in three major local News Papers. Simultaneously it was celebrated in the department of paediatrics MLN Medical College Allahabad and all other paediatric units of the private hospitals of the City.
