World breast feeding week was celebrated at the Women’s District Hospital (Duffrin Hospital) Allahabad under the banner of IAP Allahabad.
An audio visual presentation of the correct method of Breast Feeding as well as common problems encountered during breast feeding were discussed with paramedical staff posted in NICU’s all over the city. A strength of 50 paramedical staff were present.
Later an inter active session with newly delivered mothers was taken up in the OPD along with a panel discussion with prominent paediatricians of the city including Prof. Rajiv Sharan, Ex HOD, Department of Paediatrics MLN Medical College Allahabad, President IAP, Dr. Vishal Srivastava, Secretary IAP Dr. Ritu Jain, HOD Paediatrics KNMH, Dr. Archana Srivastava, Dr. Shubha Malviya, consultant paediatrician, Phoenix Hospital, Dr. Ritu Gupta, consultant paediatrician, Priti Hospital and Dr. Manisha Gupta, Superintendent incharge, Duffrin Hospital.
Simultaneously, it was celebrated in Department of Paediatrics, MLN Medical College and other Nursing Homes also and report published in leading local newspapers.
