Report on National Girl Child Day celebration,24 January 2020

JAP(Jhansi academy of paediatrics) celebrated” National girl child day “ to create awareness and address issues related to girl child in society.This celebration was supported by NGO(lions club),MLB medical college Jhansi,involved peditricians,gynaecologist,social activists and school teachers.
Programme was conducted in Saraswati Vidya Mandir( Girls inter college) and medical college Jhansi. .
Interactive and informative sessions on girls nutrition,eduation,menstrual hygiene,child marriage,legal rights of girls were delivered by paediatricians Dr GS chaudhary(president JAP),Dr Aradhana Kankane(secretary JAP), Dr Sapna Gupta(Treasurer JAP),DR Sethi,DR Yadav,gynae expert Dr Vidya Chaudhay, social activist .Questions from girl students were answered .students also made posters on’ Beti Bachao-Beti Padao’. Programme was very much appreciated by school principal. All students and teachers found this programme very educative and informative.
Programme also got good media coverage which again played important role in public awareness.
