Risk factors – Look Out
Child <6 months, Severe Dehydration and evidence of Systemic Infection..Danger
Routine stool culture and Stool Ph- No
Breast feeding– Yes
Diluted Cows Milk – No
Antibiotics – Specific Indications.
Probiotics – Helpful.

Case 2: A CHILD WITH SHORT DURATION JAUNDICE – Dr Sanjeev Verma
Jaundice with Prodromal Symptoms
High Enzymes
Monitor Liver Size and PT
PT UNCORRECTABLE AFTER VIT K –DANGER SIGN
USG not necessary in all cases
Viral Markers if feasible.
Treat Symptoms; Normal Diet

CASE 3 : A child with Blood in stools for more than 1 month Dr Durga Prasad 
Assessment
​Amount,  Color, pain  and stool characteristics
Review History and Examination
Per Rectal Examination should be done
No role of Barium Enema; USG limited role
Colonoscopy is diagnostic and therapeutic in many cases like Rectal Polyp.
Ulcerative Colitis is not so uncommon disease. Should be treated adequately, with close follow up
