CME on Pediatrics on 10th of November

The IAP Allahabad branch jointly with the Department of Pediatrics, Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad organized a day long CME on Pediatrics Update on 10th of November, Sunday, at Hotel Kanha Shyam, Allahabad. The CME began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The faculty comprised of eminent speakers of national and international repute.

 

Prof S. K. Kabra, Professor Pediatrics, AIIMS, New Delhi gave lucid lectures on “National Guidelines on Tuberculosis” and “Management of Asthma”

 

 Prof A. K. Dutta, former Professor & Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Kalawati Saran Hospital, New Delhi held an interesting interactive quiz session on “Immunization : Clearing the cobwebs”

 

Prof K. P. Kushwaha, former Principal – Dean & Professor Pediatrics BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur gave elaborate talks on “Identification & Management of AES “ and “Malaria : Recent update”

 

 Prof Rajniti Prasad, Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics, IMS, BHU, Varanasi enlightened the audience on “Status Epilepticus “ and “Management of shock “

 

Prof Deepak Chawla, Professor & Head of the Depoartment of Neonatology, Govt. Medical College, Chandigarh, delivered  lectures on “Management of Post –asphyxiated newborns “ and “Quality Improvement of Neonatal Care “.

 

Dr Munesh Tomar Pediatric cardiologist, former Head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiology, Medanta Medicity and thereafter Shri Sathya sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Palwal gave an illustrative talk on “Child with heart disease – Management strategy”

 

Dr. Manish Tandon, a well known Ophthalmologist of the city with special interest in Diseases of Retina, particularly ROP delivered a talk on  “Retinopathy of Prematurity”

 

The CME was  divided into four sessions / symposiums, covering the topics on Pediatrics exhaustively, updating the delegates on the Recent Advances & guidelines in various topics of Pediatrics. Each session was followed by a vibrant interactive discussion.

 

92 pediatricians of the city had registered for the CME. The U.P Medical Council awarded four (4) credit hours to the delegates.
